This guide its to help newbies to setup 2 boxes for Card Sharing in Lan or Wan. Hi ALL the gr8 members of this gr8 forum. Here i will guide you how to make your own newcs Server. In this article I will explain how to setup a NewCS cardsharing server on windows. I will use it to share my dutch Digitenne /KPN smartcard on my home network.
This DVB-T system uses conax encryption but this method will work for all kinds of encrypted cards on different DVB broadcasts. In this article I will be using ProgDVB with WinCSC-plugin to connect to my wincs cardserver but other CAM emulators like NewCAMD, EvoCAMD and MGCAMD will also work. What you Need? DVB-S Card (I m using Technisat SS2 PCI DVB card) 2. Phoenix Interface smartcardreader (You can use any USB SmartcardReader Also) 3.
Paid subscription card 4. Newcs 1.65 ( DOwnload it by clicking following link) 5.
ProgDVB 6.0.4(or Higher version) 6. WinCSC-plugin 4.0.0.2 Setup NewCS.Decompress the files from the NewCS archive to some directory.Go to the configs directory and find your config file or download my simple or advanced (rename to newcs.xml) config file.Copy the newcs.xml file to the win32 directory.Open the newcs.xml file. Now the and tags are interesting for us. Specify the serial port (COMx) on which You have a cardreader hardware installed (for infinity USB you can choose your emulated COM port here). Also, specify the debug port for the NewCS server (starts its numbering from 10001).Add some users. Find a user tag: username1 password1 on Modify the and to fit your needs. You can have multiple tags, of course.Start the newcs.exe from the command prompt or by double clicking on it.
Connecting to you cardsever.Install ProgDVB.Extract WinCSC archive to some directory.Copy the contents of the different folders to ProgDVB plugins folder, Main folder and the windows-system folder.Start ProgDVB, activate your device and search for channels.Choose plugins – - Cardserver client – configure server.Delete all current configurations.Fill out server details, mine where: protocol: newcamd525 username: testing Password:. Cardserver IP Adress: 192.168.1.101 (my server address in home network) choose localhost if cardserver is on same windows machine. Port: 12000 That’s it! Card Sharing. What is CardSharing & How does it work? Card sharing technology is sweeping the world with the aid of Linux based satellite receivers.
There are a huge range of satellite receivers now on the market that have the capabilities of supplying digital satellite viewing through IP services, such as the, & the Dreambox 800. In short you can receive all your favourite channels from your preferred suppliers by simply using your broadband at home. The receiver needs a sharing protocol software installed called CCcam. This is the bit of software that talks directly to our servers that hold the original satellite subscription information.
Every 2-5 seconds your tv picture would be encrypted by the supplier and therefore needs the de-cryption keys. Once this happens, your receiver will talk to your providers servers to obtain the password in real time and deliver it back to your receiver. This all happens in milliseconds to make sure that your viewing pleasure is not disturbed by freezing or pixilation. There are a few providers out there and many have been tested and found to have picture freeze etc. Then best and most recommended by our customers for service, stability & support is SatCard found. Setting this up on your receiver is very simple, firstly you need to install and run CCcam. You can usually download this directly by using your remote control and the update features on your receiver.
Once installed you need an ftp software to add the control username and password to your configuration file. Again this is very simple, there are lots of examples on the web but SatCard send you all you need with your initial order. Once inserted; your receiver will start decrypting most of the channels that your satellite dish is able to receive. At present they have over 18 servers running thousands of customer receivers and de-crypting over 5000 channels, many in HD and certainly all of the most popular satellite services available from around the world. Servers get constantly upgraded and they add new ones every 20 - 25 days. This makes sure that the quality is first class. Because of the nature of the business SatCard make sure that your identity and theirs is always secure, they house the web servers and email servers in Panama. They also utilise advanced server technology to hide the location of the main cluster by moving the traffic around the world country by country so that the location of the main cluster can not be indentified.
Lastly they do not hold any data of the customers in our servers. What equipment do i need to use your service? All you need is a satellite dish pointing at your desired provider (ie. SKY) a Dreambox or similar running CCcam and a broadband connection.
What softcam do you recommend using on a Dreambox? We recommend you use CCcam 2.0.9 to connect to our servers. Intructions on setting up CCcam can be found at. How do you Test that your Dreambox is connected to the Internet? Go to blue panel by pressing blue button on remote Go to Addons. Go To download (Gemini-Server) If you receive an error then your Dreambox has no working Internet connection.
You must resolve this problem before your cardshare will work. How does card sharing work?
Card sharing is a method by which independent receivers obtain simultaneous access to a pay television network, using one legitimate conditional access subscription card. Typically, the legitimate card is attached to a personal computer or Dreambox which is connected to the Internet, and is configured to provide the legitimately decrypted control word to other receivers who request the information. This decrypted control word is then used to decode an encrypted conditional access service, as though each other receiver were using its own subscription card. How to Set CCcam as your default Cam? From blue panel, go to top of panel and use left/right buttons to scroll to CCcam 2.0.9 Now press the Green button to start CCcam Press Exit to return to the TV Press Menu and select Shutdown followed by Restart When your Dreambox reboots it will use CCcam as the default cam. Can I receive all the channels listed You can receive only those channels that your satellite dish is able to receive. If you have a motorised system with a dish of a suitable size then it may be possible to receive all of the channels listed.
Dream-multimedia-tv.co.uk Define STBDevice that converts and displays data from analog cable, digital cable, or digital broadcast television to a standard frequency (channel number) for display on a standard analog television set, or a box that receives off-air DTV signal for display on a DTV monitor. STB call Set-top box, it is responsible for receiving, converting and sending the picture and sound of the broadcast to the associated television.
If your HDTV-ready TV has no built-in HDTV tuner you must connect it to a compatible HDTV STB first. Until then it will not receive and display digital television programs. This decoder for digital TV. The set-top box is a digital receiver that converts the digital stream of MPEG data into analogue images and sounds. The receiver consists of three main component groups: Receiving module with tuner, QPSK demodulator and FEC correction CA system. Here a smart card is used to determine whether the set-top box may decode encrypted data, and transmit this on to the customer. Also some person call it as satellite TV broadcasting.
It used to receive and decode the DTV signal and deliver it to a monitor. The STB may also be capable of capturing and decoding enhanced television transmissions.
Other types of STBs are used to convert and decode data for analog cable, digital cable and small dish satellite. Some, but not all of these STBs are also capable of decoding DTV. Define DVBDVB is short for Digital Video Broadcast, it is a same device as STB. It is a suite of internationally accepted, open standards for digital television maintained by the DVB Project, an industry consortium with more than 300 members, and published by a Joint Technical Committee (JTC) of European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI), European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization (CENELEC) and European Broadcasting Union (EBU).The standards can be obtained for free at the ETSI website after registration.
Why it called DVB-SDVB-S receive signal via satellite. Why it called DVB-CDVB-C receive signal via cable. Why it called DVB-TTerm used for digital terrestrial TV reception using the DVB standard.
What is an FTA receiver? An FTA receiver is a satellite receiver which is equipped to receive unencrypted FTA (Free to Air) satellite transmissions. An FTA satellite receiver is able to decode the MPEG-2 data compression protocol used in most Free to Air satellite transmissions. An FTA receiver will not be able to un-encrypt Dish Network or DirecTV satellite programming.
FTA Receiver Types Most FTA receivers are stand-alone hardware boxes which look very much like Dish Networks or DirecTV receivers. Some PC-based FTA satellite receivers also exist.
These devices enable you to watch FTA satellite on your computer. Features to Look for in an FTA Receiver No one can tell you exactly what you want in a FTA satellite receiver, but here are some of the features to look for:. Does the receiver have an Electronic Program Guide (EPG)?.
Does the receiver allow you to zoom into a picture?. Does the receiver support picture-in-picture?. Does the receiver have a built-in PVR (Personal Video Recorder)?. Does the receiver have dual tuners to enable viewing and recording of two different channels?. Does the receiver have a PIG/PIP interface?. Does the receiver have S-Video output?. Does the receiver have Dolby SPDIF output?.
Does the receiver have Blind Search Power Scan to find all channels transmitted by a satellite?. Does the receiver have an On Screen Display (OSD)?. Does the OSD allow you to move, delete, and rename channels? FTA Satellite Receiver Vendors Quality manufacturers of FTA satellite receivers include Viewsat, Pansat, Coolsat, Fortec, BlackBird, UltraStar, Ariza, MultiStar, Digiwave, and Twinhan.
Additional Equipment for FTA Satellite In addition to a FTA satellite receiver, you will also need:. A satellite dish (Either C-Band or Ku-Band). An LNB. An antenna motor (If you wish to receive channels from more than one satellite) Can I get satellite TV? Most people can get satellite TV.
There are basically two criteria you must meet: 1. An unobstructed view of the southern sky 2. A place to install your dish that meets criteria #1 Dish can be mounted on house roof, balcony, patio or garden, or any other open spaces. The dish should face southeast, make sure there are no high buildings in the direction, they might block the signal.
0.55m / 0.60m / 0.35 / 0.75m diameter dishes are available. Check them out here. What's the difference between different size dishes? The bigger the dish is the better the reception is when weather is bad, heaven rain for example. This is why TV broadcasting stations always use big dishes even for KU band signal receiption. Beside weather, the building complexity also influences the reception in some cases.
We recommend open space with minimum interruption. What is Subscription?
Dream Broadcasting System programs are not free-to-air. The service is based on subscription. Customer have to pay subscription each year to continue the service. Each subscription card has a serials number(bar code) paired with it's decoer.
Dream manages subscription through thiese serial numbers. When your subscription expires, your system stops working until the company receives your subscription to continue the service. Two channels are free-to-air, Channe 10 and 12. They two channels are to test if your dish signal receiption is ok. Should I power off the receiver when it's not in use? The difference in power usage between leaving the receiver on or off is almost immeasurable. Our receivers are designed so that they can be left on without being affected by internal heat or additional wear on the internal components.
However, we do recommend that you power your receiver off overnight at least once a month to automatically update its software as new versions are released. Reboot receiver: power off your receiver for 5 minutes and then turn it back on can sometimes resolve the issue if it is associated with out of date software.
